About Claxon Design Co.
Adam Claxon
Designer & Front-End Developer | UX Architect | Part-Time Philosopher
I’ve been making websites since 1995—sometimes for Fortune 100s, sometimes for artists or neighborhood shops. Before starting Claxon Design Co., I spent four years as a UX Architect at DMI, working with clients like Eli Lilly, Liberty Mutual, and Dallas Fort Worth Airport. I’ve also designed with Studio Science, helping Stack Overflow and Angie’s List build digital experiences that last.
Those years taught me the power of clarity, accessibility, and human-centered design at every scale. But what I love most is helping people see their work in a new light and build something that feels like home (for them and their customers).
Now, I focus on websites and branding for small businesses, artists, and mission-driven organizations; projects rooted in care, collaboration, and the belief that good design starts with truth. I still advocate for accessibility, and I believe every business, big or small, deserves to be seen.
When I’m not designing, you’ll find me writing, exploring philosophy, making music, or spending time with my family. If you'd like to know more about me, visit adamclaxon.com

Let’s talkColophon
This site was built with Jekyll, a static site generator I’ve loved for years. It’s hosted on a Linode server I maintain myself, and deployed via good old-fashioned `git push`.
Typography is set in Roboto Mono, Karla, and Playfair Display, all served by Google Fonts.
Layout and styles are all hand-built. No frameworks, no Tailwind, no Bootstrap. Just clean CSS, and a few subtle animations.
Every page is built with accessibility and clarity in mind: semantic HTML, readable color contrast, and navigation that works across devices and screen readers.
The site reflects the same care I bring to client work; thoughtful structure and intentional details, without bloat or noise.
